So, it is almost a month before I fly to Europe for the first time ever. I am admittedly stoked about it! Some people have asked me why I was so determined to travel to Europe which is obviously a very expensive holiday destination in comparison to Asia. This is considering direct flights to Asia are only around 8 hours and often with much cheaper airfare with many budget airlines (e.g. Jetstar, Virgin, Tiger Air) offering amazing return flight prices from $600. Europe, or Germany specifically as it is the first country on my trip, requires a 13 hour trip to your stop over destination, which is Dubai with Emirates, then another flight to Munich which takes around 6 hours. That just sounds gruelling compared to flying to Asia! Not to mention, the return airfares flying to Europe usually starts from $1500.

However, I have been to Asia for every overseas trip I've ever been on. I travelled to Vietnam (five times), Japan, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. These countries were amazing and no doubt are all popular holiday destinations for people all over the world. Now, I am really seeking somewhere different culturally and aesthetically to give me a broader view of the world. Then the idea of an Eurotrip was conceived!
There are actually a fair few reasons
why I was really keen on going to Europe. Besides seeing the amazing culture European countries have to offer, I really wanted to catch up with friends whom I had met in Australia and have now returned back to their native homelands. I am also a huge soccer/football fiend and I am stoked to know that I can watch matches live in stadiums for reasonable prices. The countries I will be travelling to are

EDIT: I ended up travelling to Belgium, Andorra and Hungary too. However I did not get a chance to go to Switzerland
I am having a great time creating packing lists, which I will post up soon! It is a bit stressful to schedule everything for my trip. Even though I won't stick to the schedule 100%, I think it's pretty important to know some details. This is so I don't forget to visit a place which I may be really keen to visit now but may forget when I get to the country.
Hopefully, I will post up all my packing related things soon after my exams and keep everything up to date leading up to my trip!
In the meantime, please leave in the comment section on how you keep entertained and/or refreshed during grueling trips!
